| Abstract: | O trabalho trata do planejamento urbano em São Gonçalo, RJ. a partir de uma breve recuperação da evolução da urbe e das leis que tentaram disciplinar seu crescimento urbano. Foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográficas e entrevistas com moradores locais. Com base nesses procedimentos, o artigo conclui que o Plano Diretor é vital para o desenvolvimento municipal e que a cidade precisa ser pensada pela própria população como um lugar pautado por leis e que precisa ser pensada coletivamente por todos os segmentos sociais. |
| Abstract: | The paper deals with urban planning in São Gonçalo, RJ. starting from a brief recovery of the evolution of the city and the laws that tried to discipline its urban growth. Bibliographical research and interviews with local residents were carried out. Based on these procedures, the article concludes that the Master Plan is vital for municipal development and that the city needs to be thought of by the population itself as a place governed by laws and that needs to be thought collectively by all social segments. |
