| Abstract: | Estudo da aplicação do método magnetotelúrico de prospecção e sua aplicação à bacia do Paraná. Inicia-se com um estudo do contexto geológico da bacia do Paraná, com uma descrição básica da estratigrafia, do arcabouço estrutural, da geologia histórica e abordagem dos seus sistemas petrolíferos. Em seguida, explica-se o método magnetotelúrico, seus princípios físicos e também como se dá o tratamento dos dados adquiridos em campo. Por fim, estuda-se o artigo Imaging the central portion of Parana Basin with 3-D MT modeling de Machado et al 2003, onde os autores utilizam dados magnetotelúricos para modelagem tridimensional da porção central da bacia do Paraná. |
| Abstract: | Study of the application of the magnetoteluric method of prospecting and its application to the Paraná basin. It begins with a study of the geological context of the Paraná basin, with a basic description of stratigraphy, structural framework, historical geology and approach of its petroleum systems. Then, we explain the magnetoteluric method, its physical principles and also how to treat the data acquired in the field. Finally, we study the article Imaging the central portion of Parana Basin with 3-D MT modeling by Machado et al 2003, where the authors use magnetoteluric data for three-dimensional modeling of the central portion of the Paraná basin. |
