Abstract: This research aims to analyse the experience of a communal kitchen: KuzinhaNem. The project is based at the neighborhood of Lapa, at the city of Rio de Janeiro. Grupo TransRevolução runs the project. This research investigates the significant economic values that may build an anti capitalist movement, involving the productive work and the reproductive work, and fighting against inequality. The research is based of two theoretical
principles: 1) a social economy, bringing grassroot economy and solidarity economy; and 2) the productive work linked to the productive work. In this context, there was a systematization of the experience through weekly meetings with all members of the kitchen, who were involved in the research and in the management of the kitchen

Abstract: The aim of this dissertation is to reflect on the role of the state in recognizing, through fair financial compensation, the relevant and fundamental environmental services provided by recyclable material collection workers. This case was chosen because this recognition is an important factor in the emancipation of these workers from the presence of the middleman during the process of selling the material collected, sorted and processed, since the fair payment made by the government is a key factor in solving the worst problem faced by the enterprises surveyed: the lack of working capital. To support this assertion, the Case Study methodology was used, initially reviewing the theoretical framework. Subsequently, through interviews, the members of COOPFUTURO and COOPAMA were listened to and included in the search for a viable way to demand adequate and viable support from the state in making the composition of the working capital of the two cooperatives researched feasible. In this way, the dissertation presents two cases and compares them, seeking to demonstrate the importance of the state recognizing the important public service provided by waste picker cooperatives and to show how it is feasible to pay for the environmental service provided without burdening the public coffers.

Abstract: Abyssal marine sediments, at depths greater than 3000 m, may contain organic matter linked to the genesis of organic input from different origins, through relative contributions from marine and continental sources that have accumulated over thousands of years, providing a wide spectrum of organic substance composition. In this context, this research aims to apply organic geochemistry techniques to evalue and understand, at the molecular level, of organic matter in abyssal sediments from a short sample collected west of the South Atlantic Ocean, in a region adjacent to the Rio Grande Rise (RGR). This sample was collected at a depth of 3287m and dates from the late Pleistocene to the Holocene period, between 16,200 and 4,700 years ago. To obtain this sample, the abyssal sediment cores were sectioned every 1 cm, and these were initially analyzed by Rock-Eval® pyrolysis to obtain data on carbonate concentration (mgg-1), percentage of mineral carbon, and total organic carbon (TOC). A molecular-level investigation of chemical compositional variations was then conducted using gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC/MS) to identify organic substances in the total extract of each sediment section, to understand the variations in depositional environment and deposition of organic matter in the sediments over time. Rock-Eval® Pyrolysis results, with TOC values < 0.12% and carbonates ~ 30%, in addition to the low soluble extract content (<0.12%), indicate that the marine sediment is related to a region of low productivity. The lower values of carbonate and mineral carbon content observed in the older samples, from the Pleistocene, indicate greater stagnation of bottom waters and high acidity, with greater dissolution of carbonates. Analysis of molecular biomarkers revealed compounds belonging to different organic classes, such as n-alkanes, hopanoids, steradynes, carboxylic acids, amides, and nitriles, allowing for the geochemical reconstruction of the depositional environment and the characterization of organic matter. The presence of long-chain n-alkanes, including C27, C29, and C31, with a prevalence of odd-numbered homologs over evennumbered ones, indicates the contribution of higher plants to the organic matter. Steradiene profiles, such as cholesta-3,5-diene (C27) and stigmasta-3,5-diene (C29), indicated a decrease in terrigenous contribution from the base to the top of the core. The presence of pentacyclic terpane compounds, such as α-amyrin and pentacyclic triterpenoid methyl ester isomers, are metabolized by plants, both found in leaf waxes. Hopanoids, such as neohopenes (C27 and C29), associated with anoxic conditions, and hopanone (C27), show evidence of initial diagenesis processes, with diagenetic precursors, from diploptene and bacteriohopanotetrol, respectively, of bacterial origin. The presence of short-chain carboxylic acids (<C18) indicates a major contribution from bacterial products, facilitated by secondary production and reworking of organic matter. The presence of n-alkyl amides may be associated with the origin of higher plants, although these may also be a product of biomass burning. Thus, the geochemical data of hopanoids indicate a paleoenvironment that favors anoxic conditions for the oldest sediments, suggesting an immature and preserved sediment of biogenic origin, including products of early diagenesis. Amides and n-alkanes stood out as significant biomarkers in this study, presenting geochemical profiles with variations that coincide with the transition period between the Pleistocene and the Holocene. These changes in concentration levels and the contribution of substances indicate a direct influence of climatic changes that occurred during this geological interval. The composition of organic matter reveals a strong indication of plant input.

Abstract: This work proposes the use of scientific theater in the teaching of Chemistry to motivate, involve and facilitate the learning of students in the three grades of regular state high school in Nova Friburgo, RJ. Following the example of some Brazilian universities that maintain, in their scientific dissemination groups, theatrical practice as a teaching resource, students are suggested to participate in all stages of the preparation of a theatrical play, from research to staging. The didactic sequence designed to carry out this project is reported, based on different active methodologies and from a D~D~A (student~teacher~learner) perspective, adding to this practice two mini workshops with the application of theatrical games for teaching sciences through the historicity of the chemical elements radium and polonium and the life and work of their discoverers. The planning of this didactic sequence, from choosing the generating themes to writing the sketch scripts, took place through the direct participation of students, considering their interests, suggestions and prior knowledge. The scientific research necessary to prepare the scripts refers to the investigation of the history of the Periodic Table and the contributions of Marie Curie, in the scientific, social and cultural aspects, with the aim of humanizing the figures of scientists, sometimes considered to have unattainable gifts, to value the role of women in Science, to bring the target audience closer to the academic world and, not least, to give protagonism to the young people involved in the process, encouraging their creativity, their autonomy regarding objectives, research, product development and evaluation of results. With this study, it was observed that the commitment of the students involved in all stages of this work, occurred in parallel with the understanding of the contents, the development of skills such as integration, collaboration, skills for art, professional vocations and skills to think critically. and make individual and collective decisions to resolve potential problems or reevaluate procedures. Both the didactic sequence and the proposed theatrical workshops are presented in a memorial portfolio, the educational product of this dissertation.
