Abstract: This dissertation parts from the problem of the unintelligibility of philosophical discourse. The focus resides in the comparison between two contrasting interpretations of the same problem, and, therefore, between two proposals which suggest different solutions. The contrast is between the philosophy of language present in John Dewey’s work, and the philosophy of language inaugurated by the works of Gottlob Frege. From Dewey we receive an account based on a theory of meaning, and, as a solution, the method of historical contextualization. Frege, in turn, formulates the problem based on a theory of reference, and suggests as a solution the method of language analysis. The two authors represent distinct philosophical projects. The main goal is the comparative exam of the most antagonic metatheoric points between the two projects, and the respective theories of language, meaning and reference. The hypothesis is that a thorough analysis of these different interpretations is indispensable in order to comprehend the problem, and, over all, to guide us to a feasible solution nowadays. The present work has, therefore, the intention of humbly contribute to the transformation of philosophical writing, by means of a familiarization with the most relevant philosophical debates on the theme, and by postulating clarity as one of the regulating principles of philosophy.

Abstract: An investigation into the epistemological foundations of enactivism reveals, beyond mere phenomenological inspiration, different positions regarding the continuity and delimitation between transcendental phenomenology and the empirical sciences. On the one hand, we have the thesis of fundamental circularity, attributed to the first enactivists, according to which enactivism consists of a properly scientific continuation of Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology; on the other hand, authored by contemporary enactivists, the thesis of mutual clarification, which aims to preserve the delimitation between the disciplines and establish a relationship of reciprocal collaboration. Both theses, however, subscribe to naturalism, and yet aim to accommodate the transcendental pretensions of phenomenology within their scope. In view of this, we set out to clarify this scenario by returning to the work of two phenomenologists, Edmund Husserl and Maurice Merleau-Ponty. Starting with the reconstruction of the main theses of Philosophy as a Rigorous Science and Ideas I, we demarcate Husserl's most clearly anti-naturalistic thesis, as well as his idea of transcendental phenomenology. We then turn to Ideas III to elucidate the relationship between phenomenology and the natural sciences and psychology. Finally, we turned to the Phenomenology of Perception to understand Merleau-Ponty's use of empirical data and his modification of transcendental phenomenology. We conclude that, faced with the more traditional theses of phenomenology represented in the first two works investigated, enactivism can only be considered an unsustainable scientific project. However, when we consider Husserl's textual guidelines on the use of empirical data in phenomenology, and the very appropriation of empirical data in Merleau-Ponty's work, we find justification for the thesis of mutual enlightenment. Questions remain nevertheless about the definition of the idea of nature and indications for a renewal of the discussion about naturalism.

Abstract: This study aims to provide philosophical elements that favor reflection and debate on pedagogical practices in environmental education, according to the ethical theories of deep ecology. It draws attention to the absence of debate on the capitalista structure and its social, economic and political consequences, which from the perspective of deep ecology, is one of the great reasons why the socioenvironmental debate is necessary. This study sought to show, from the analysis of lesson plans, defined by the competences and abilities of the BNCC, that this contradiction remains hidden for teachers, establishing a common sense in the pedagogical proposals of the lesson plans, in line with the developmental ecological perspective. capitalist. In addition, almost entirely, they converge towards na anthropocentric-utilitarian concept of the environment, with total predominance of the standard model of sustainability, called sustainable development. The pedagogical action, in turn, focuses on the conservation of natural resources. We conclude that pedagogical proposals related to the environment have not given space to moral systems that intend to support non-anthropocentric ethical perspectives and that environmental education leaves behind the philosophical support capable of enabling a relevant change in perspective.

Abstract: This thesis contains the introduction to a broader research project (part 0) and the conclusion of its first stage, the detailed mapping of the materialist turn (part I). Committed to a possible future materialism, we initially set out to map three turns in the contemporary theoretical-critical-philosophical space: the material, ontological and speculative turns. Starting at this point, in the triple knot of a threefold turn, the initial effort was to trace the movements that gave rise to these turns, which led us to find three vectors: genderization, decolonisation and speculation. Still committed to the possibility of a future materialism, heir to the critical tradition (and to the critique of tradition), the author's next move was to develop a trans-critique, which required the transmutation of the project into a long genealogy of three concepts (diffraction, cosmopolitics, and meta-transcendental) that condense the triple methodology itself (queer-diffractional, cosmopolitical-pluriversal, and speculative-meta-transcendental) that (poly-)oriented this project. Part 0 aims to open up a problematic field of investigation — material(ist) transcritique — and to expose the central concepts, orientations, and motivations for the pluricartography of this triple turn (which is also one). This is followed by part I, the core of this thesis, where we enter the territory of the ‘Gender continent’ to map in detail the material turn according to the orientation of the genderization vector. In this new continent of thought, we find a space from which the departing vector would diffract between divergent modes of material(ist) heritage, triggering a series of conflicts that would culminate in the material turn and the proliferation of new materialisms. In this trajectory, we highlight the queer-/cuir-diffractive event as the trigger for the methodological-conceptual epi-genesis of a queer/cuir lineage heir to feminist science studies (FSS) and to a diffractive practice as an onto-epistemological-performative radicalization of the (critical) reflexive procedure. We conclude briefly with an orientation toward the promised ongoingness of this project, following the mappings of the other components of the threefold turn, whose interpellation in relation to the author of this thesis led to the beginning of this project.
