Abstract: This work is an inquiry of the Stasimon I of the verses 338-344 of the tragedy Orestes (408 B.C.) by Euripides, based on the notion of mousikḗ and the trajectory of music theory of ancient Greek music. Each verse of the papyrus fragment features, in the upper part, the notation of the vocal musical notes, and in the lower half, the Greek text with the notes for the instruments, in alphabetical notation. The verses and the notes are analyzed with the aim of suggesting a possible reconstruction of the first Stasimon. The dialogue between the reconstructed text and ancient music is triggered, from a theoretical point of view, mainly by the concepts of Donald J. Grout, Claude Palisca, Stefan Hagel, Aires Manuel Rodeia dos Reis Pereira, Théodore Reinach, and Martin L. West, in order to understand the type of the musical regarding the fragment of the tragedy in question.

Abstract: The influence of Greek literature on Latin literature has already been widely explored by scholars. However, the reverse path – that is, the analysis of possible points of convergence between Latin literature and Greek narrative – remains in an early stage. This dissertation aims to investigate the presence of themes and techniques from Roman elegiac poetry, especially from Propertius, in the Greek novel Callirhoe by Chariton of Aphrodisia. The study focuses on how the erotic disposition of the characters is constructed and which elegiac elements appear to shape the narrative structure of the novel. The analysis is grounded in the proposals of Jolowicz (2021) regarding the dialogue between Roman literature and the Greek novel, and it explores such relations through the lens of transtextuality. The study seeks to contribute to the ongoing discussions on the interactions between genres and literary traditions in Antiquity.

      <title>Religiosidade e tradição: uma análise semântico cultural do Carmen Saeculare Horaciano</title>

Abstract: In different historical and cultural contexts, moral values and inherited tradition have always&#xD;
been manifested through social practices, rituals, and symbolic narratives. In this regard,&#xD;
considering that the Carmen Saeculare was composed by Horace at the request of Emperor&#xD;
Augustus to serve as the public hymn of the Ludi Saeculares in 17 B.C., this dissertation aims&#xD;
to analyze how the values of the mos maiorum are articulated in the poem, recalling the&#xD;
figure of the mythical founding hero of Rome, Aeneas, and highlighting the paradigmatic&#xD;
relationship between the emperor and the Trojan hero. To achieve this goal, the research&#xD;
draws on Cultural Semantics (CS), which makes it possible to understand how the cultural&#xD;
memory and symbolic dimension of the text were manifested during the festivities, revealing&#xD;
the meanings socioculturally constructed, underlying the celebration and the reinforcement of&#xD;
Roman moral and political order. Furthermore, the work engages with the perspective of the&#xD;
Bakhtin’s Circle, which postulates that the meanings of literary texts emerge from the&#xD;
interaction among social and historical voices, thus allowing the poem to be interpreted as a&#xD;
place of negotiation of meanings and legitimation of cultural values. By the end of the study,&#xD;
it is evident that the Carmen Saeculare, by uniting myth, ritual, cultural memory, and literary&#xD;
culture, perpetuates ancestral virtues, reinforces imperial authority, and demonstrates how&#xD;
Roman literature articulated tradition, politics, and culture.

      <title>Ólbos: uma discussão axiológica nas histórias de Heródoto</title>

Abstract: Herodotus of Halicarnassus redeemed the barbarian otherness from the current extreme portraits of unhuman savagery and Greek identity. Acknowledging the Barbarians as having other nómoi, Herodotus points out the cultural differences among peoples, grounding his own propositions in the collected data he shapes, increases and recreates. One of those data is the semantic variation around the concept of ólbos. This Dissertation aims to discuss this Herodotian parameter from its textual occurrences at I, 26-92, the passage known as “Cresus lógos”, a part of the “Lydian lógos”. The research has also focused some occurences of the word ólbos in Greek Literature production untill the V century B.C. in oder to inquire into its efficiency, through its discursive contexts, as an axiological scale defining the Barbarian cultures directions according to what is meant to be the Herodotian perspective. Although it establishes an otherness-oriented point of view, such a perspective is also guided by the delimitation of Athenian ethics values and, for instance, by the purposes of Solon's character acting as a fortress of the democratic system.
