To achieve this, the dynamic geometry software GeoGebra is employed, enabling the animated visualization of transformations associated with polygon dissections. The study is grounded in the work Geometrografia 2 by Virgilio Athayde Pinheiro, in order to establish a rigorous theoretical foundation for the definition and understanding of point transformations. The adopted methodology combines bibliographic and documentary research, covering the historical context of Jodoin’s work and the underlying mathematical formulation, with an emphasis on the principles of differential calculus. This study is expected to have an educational character. Additionally, it seeks to contribute to future investigations on the intersection of geometry, algebra, and animation. In this context, it aims to provide new insights into visually compelling and accessible representations of mathematical concepts through digital media. The adopted methodology encompasses, initially, understanding the concept of heritage in Western society, identifying routes within the context of the ICOMOS Charter, and using cartographic maps as graphic tools to represent these routes. Subsequently, a mapping of the municipality’s historical buildings was carried out, with emphasis on six constructions of significance to the city’s history and development. To enrich the proposal, the material will include a graphical analysis of one of the selected heritage sites, applying Sandra Alvim’s (1999) methodology. This analysis will be digitally accessible via a QR Code embedded in the brochure. Among the mapped buildings, the Igreja Nossa Senhora do Amparo was chosen for its historical importance and serves as the focal point for the graphical analysis. The research relied on data collected from INEPAC archives, field surveys, photographic documentation, and bibliographic research on the heritage collection as a whole. As a result, this work seeks to valorize Maricá’s architectural heritage by offering an original material that combines historical and graphical analysis. In addition to strengthening the identity of the local heritage, it also demonstrates the applicability of Sandra Alvim’s method to the Igreja Nossa Senhora do Amparo. With the resources that Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers in image generation, new creative possibilities emerge, while debates about its impact on originality and the design process of these pieces become more intense. In this context, this research explores theoretical and technical aspects, analyzing the relationship between aesthetics, history, and the creation of ornaments, as well as the ethical implications of using AI. The study also draws a parallel with the production of adornments in Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival, highlighting its cultural significance. The field research, conducted through interviews with professionals in the area, allowed for an assessment of different perspectives and raised fundamental questions, such as the importance of studying geometry, the influence of academic training on professional practice, sources of inspiration for creation, and opinions on the use of artificial intelligence in ornament design. The way spaces are designed and built is directly related to the available tools for their conception, representation methods, the materials used, and the construction techniques adopted. Thus, the aesthetics of buildings evolve as new technologies are incorporated into the architectural process. This study aims to analyze the aesthetic conception of housing in two distinct periods: modernist architecture, strongly influenced by industrial development, and contemporary architecture, characterized by the incorporation of computing and digital fabrication. To this end, emblematic residential projects from each period were selected, recognized for their technical and aesthetic value, allowing comparisons to be made and the influence of technologies on the shaping of residential architecture to be identified. In this way, the aim is to understand how technological innovations influence not only aesthetics, but also the functionality and experience of living spaces.
