However, surgical correction during childhood has significantly improved the prognosis of these patients, and nowadays, only a minority reach adulthood without repair, often developing complications that require specialized follow-up. This study aims to conduct a literature review on unrepaired Tetralogy of Fallot in adults, exploring clinical aspects, prognosis, and therapeutic approaches. Relevant articles were analyzed, covering topics from the natural history of the disease to surgical treatment in adults, including cases of late complications such as pulmonary endocarditis, biventricular dysfunction, and aortic dissection. The review highlights the importance of diagnosis, long-term follow-up, and surgical correction, when indicated, to improve the quality of life and life expectancy of these patients.
