Abstract: In this research, we sought information and data that could support the study related to inclusive and accessible events. Thus, she sought to acquire information and data that could support the study, so that it would have as its objective the production of a scientific dissemination work. In the following pages, the reader will find a brief history of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and its largest center, the Health Sciences Center (CCS), as well as a little of the inclusive structure that has been embraced by UFRJ, albeit slowly. The reader will also be led to the universe of people with disabilities, their history of struggles and achievements in the attempt to make the world a more inclusive place and learn about the Brazilian Law for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities, which seeks equity for a more just, inclusive and accessible society. As this journey unfolds, we will deepen our knowledge of scientific diffusion and its propagation, which will bring Science closer to society. Finally, we will present the objectives, applied methodology, core research and its results, contributing to future reflection of the academic community, both inside and outside the university, as a community that must be inclusive and accessible.

Abstract: Research conducted on Professional Master’s programs can enhance these courses’ dynamic, development, and sustainability. Identifying commonalities and counterpoints in the ideas, beliefs, and codes shared by graduates and current students is crucial. It is also important to outline the challenges and opportunities in their academic pursuits. This work is organized around three methodological pillars: (i) Documentary analysis; (ii) Content analysis (Bardin, 2011); and (iii) Support from the Theory of Social Representations (Moscovici, 1978). The policy of Professional Master’s programs and the specific organizational structure of the Professional Master’s Program in Education, Management, and Dissemination in Biosciences of the Institute of Biochemistry Leopoldo de Meis, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (MP-EGeD/IBqM/UFRJ); and the regulatory and evaluative process conducted by the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES), documentary analysis was carried out. The Content Analysis methodology consisted of evaluating the online questionnaire to characterize the 39 students (referred to as ‘in progress’) and obtain their opinions and beliefs about the professional master’s program. Issues concerning the curriculum structure and final dissertations, as well as their impact on scientific training and, especially, professional practice, were explored. The third methodological pillar is based on the Theory of Social Representations, using the Free Word Association Test (TALP), with analyses of salience (Central Core) and lexical collocability (Co occurrence) by Abric (2003). This analysis was done to uncover the normative and counter normative social representations of both graduates and current students. Given the significant role of public management, the main goal of this research was to contribute to address specific features, requirements, and needs of the MP-EgeD Program, with outcomes potentially useful for CAPES evaluation. The main product of this Master’s is an Educational Management Report.

Abstract: Science education can help students become part of scientific culture, developing their critical thinking and helping them make daily decisions.. This process, known as scientific literacy, is continuous throughout life, but should be encouraged from the first years of schooling and through the application of investigative activities, scientific literacy is strengthened, as it encourages students to formulate hypotheses, test ideas and construct knowledge actively, allowing them to understand both scientific content and the process of its construction. The objective of this work was to analyze an investigative activity on the heating of chocolate, applied to a 1st grade class of Elementary School in the municipality of Itaguaí, in order to provide support for the adoption of this approach in the classroom, through the production of a video lesson. Thus, in order to achieve the objectives of this study, the methodology was divided into six stages, including the elaboration, application and recording of the investigative activity, analysis of the interaction between children during the application of the activity and validation of the video class produced by education professionals. The results showed, based on the analysis of the interactions between the children, that the investigative activity managed to involve the students, stimulating their curiosity, and that based on the problematizing question, the students raised hypotheses and proposed a way to test them. Regarding the product, based on validation by education professionals, it was possible to see that the information – about research-based teaching – presented in the video lesson is relevant, demonstrates clear strategies for application in the classroom and that the video lesson can be used in ongoing teacher training.

<title>A doença de Alzheimer como prioridade de pesquisa na Agenda de Pesquisa em Saúde: análise da pesquisa brasileira e latino-americana</title>

Abstract: The growing trend of population aging and the increasing number of people with Alzheimer’s disease impact socioeconomic and health systems. Health research has become a central element in addressing priority health issues. Health Research Agendas strategically define priorities based on each country’s health condition, encourage research, and generate scientific knowledge to meet population needs. Thus, the objective of this thesis is to investigate research on Alzheimer’s disease before and after the implementation of the Health Research Agenda in Brazil using three strategies: mapping various characteristics of scientific production, detailing technical and scientific aspects associated with the Brazilian and Latin American Health Research Agendas, and identifying the perceptions of health science, technology, and innovation managers and Brazilian researchers regarding the impact of the Agenda on research. This is a quantitative-qualitative study based on the collection and analysis of quantitative data on scientific production indexed in the Scopus database for the periods 1974-2005, 2006-2019, 1986-2004, and 2005-2023, data obtained from documents and semi-structured individual interviews, on which documentary analysis and content analysis were conducted. The results indicate an increase in the number of original and review articles published in health science journals, authored by researchers affiliated with institutions in Brazil’s Southeast region. Journal co-citation analysis revealed that Brazilian research on Alzheimer’s disease was initially based on 72 journals focused on health sciences, but after the implementation of the Agenda, this number grew to 679 journals, covering a broader range of disciplines. Author co-citation analysis identified 93 co-cited authors in distant clusters from 1974-2005, while between 2006- 2019, 1,000 co-cited authors formed more interconnected clusters. Keyword co-occurrence analysis highlighted the growth of Brazilian and Latin American scientific production and the diversification of research topics following the implementation of the Agendas. Documentary analysis indicated that among the 47 countries in the region, only Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and a few Caribbean nations have established research agendas that prioritize Alzheimer's disease. Content analysis revealed that managers and some researchers recognize the Agenda as a permanent and sustainable public health policy tool that has driven health research activities in the country. However, a lack of dissemination, institutionalization, and updates compromises its effectiveness. The analysis of scientific production, Research Agendas, and interviews demonstrates that, while the Health Research Agenda has strengthened Alzheimer’s disease research in Brazil, its continuous updating is essential to guide priority research and serve as a reference for funding. In addition, the findings of this study highlight the need for increased investment and adequate infrastructure as fundamental measures to ensure that Brazilian science continues to advance in Alzheimer’s disease research and other health conditions.
