The aim is to organize and retrieve information with integrity, in a timely manner, at a cost appropriate to the process of decision-making managers and administrators. At the Comando da Aeronáutica (COMAER), concern with information quality for correct decision making is strategic and lifesaving. So this monograph has purpose in addressing concepts, theory and practices electronic document management archival focusing deploying this technology in Subdivisão de Encargos Especiais (SDEE), Diretoria de Intendência (DIRINT) of the COMAER. Analyze the implementation of computerized management of archival documents (SIGADAER) of COMAER. For this investigation we used exploratory research, based on evaluation of document analysis and literature review, beyond the case study that will be done by direct observation of the system users. For the necessary analysis and support, was based on theoretical and conceptual in GED experts, information management and digital preservation, based on the authors: Miguel Ferreira, Vanderlei Batista dos Santos, Claudia Lacombe Rocha, Antônio J. B Oliveira and others. The usability of SIGADAER will also be examined in order to make suggestions for improvement for future releases from this study. Additionally, there are also reflections on technology resources that GED can provide for the preservation of institutional memory.
