Estudo comparativo de métodos de análise espectral da vida à fadiga de estruturas offshore

Abstract

This work seeks to show the similarities and differences between several spectral analysis methodologies for predicting fatigue life, present in the literature, when applied to offshore structures. For this comparison, the stress responses of an offshore structure were obtained, when subjected to wave loads resulting from a Brazilian coast‘s characteristic sea spectrum, by different methodologies: the Mises’ equivalent stress and the equivalent stress proposed by Battelle and its varieties. Subsequently, these responses were incorporated into the statistical calculations in the spectral analysis methodologies to obtain the fatigue damage of each region of the analyzed structure. A hull of a semisubmersible platform was used as offshore structure.
