Abordagens ao tema de violência na Atenção Básica: o silêncio institucional sobre a violência de gênero

Abstract

The present study aims to carry out an analysis of the documents produced in the municipality of Mesquita, in Baixada Fluminense, that address the theme of violence, especially the gender violence. This is an exploratory, descriptive, research-type study documentary, in official physical and digital documents. The materials point to two approaches, a discussion that reproduces the conception of violence in the social imaginary and to an initial discussion of the theme from the perspective of violence as an instrument of power. Concludes the need to deepen the institutional and structural character of violence in the health services.
