| Abstract: | Este trabalho faz a análise das características de alguns microprocessadores RISC de 32 bits. Este estudo foi desenvolvido para permitir a escolha do microprocessador a ser utilizado no projeto MULTIPLUS, um sistema microprocessador em desenvolvimento no NCE/UFRJ. Através da utilização de vários microprocessadores RISC acoplados a unidades aritméticas de ponto flutuante, pretende-se obter um sistema de processamento paralelo de alto desempenho. Este relatório analisa várias arquiteturas e mostra os critérios utilizados para a escolha realizada. |
| Abstract: | This work presents an analysis of some 32 bit RISC microprocessors. This study was developed to help the choice of a RISC microprocessor to the MULTIPLUS is a shared memory multiprocessor system under development as NCE/UFRJ. Through the utilization of parallel processing with RISC multiprocessors coupled to floating point arithmetic units, it is intended to obtain a high performance parallel system. This paper analyze some architectures and shows the criteria used to choose one that best fits to this kind of application. |
