dc.description.abstractThis monograph aimed to analyze the case of shipwreck in the Port of Vila do Conde - Barcarena / PA - in October 2015, considering several factors and actors that integrate relations in the city. It was sought to know the perspective of those affected by the environmental damage caused by the shipwreck and the strategies of organized resistance of the local population in front of the large number of economic projects - companies, industries and infrastructure - that the city shelter. It was tried to understand how the relationship between local population and large economic development projects occurs, based on the perception of the Brazilian Amazon as a commodity exporter. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with local leaders, fishermen and beach workers. Several socio-environmental conflicts are perceived, due to the different ways of appropriating natural resources. In addition, the Judiciary's action in the face of this conflict was analyzed.en

dc.description.resumoEste trabalho objetivou analisar o caso de naufrágio no Porto de Vila do Conde – Barcarena/PA – em outubro de 2015, considerando diversos fatores e atores que integram as relações na cidade. Buscou-se conhecer a perspectiva dos atingidos pelo dano ambiental causado a partir do naufrágio e as estratégias de resistência organizada da população local frente ao grande número de empreendimentos – empresas, indústrias e infraestrutura – que o município abriga. Intentou-se compreender como se dá a relação entre população local e grandes projetos de desenvolvimento econômico, a partir da percepção da Amazônia brasileira como exportadora de commodities. Para tanto foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com lideranças locais, pescadores e barraqueiros. Percebem-se diversos conflitos socioambientais, em razão dos diversos modos de apropriação dos recursos naturais. Ademais, foi analisada a atuação do Poder Judiciário diante desse conflito.pt_BR
