O campo lexical da cerimônia do bẽp: proposta de um dicionário bilíngue mebêngôkre - português

Abstract

The Mẽbêngôkre language, spoken by the people of the same name, belongs to the northern branch of the Jê Family (RODRIGUES 1986, 1999). The variety of the Mẽbêngôkre language taken as the object of analysis in this research, is spoken in the Indigenous Land (TI) Kayapo, in the “aldeias”: Môxkarakô Kwatire, Kremajti and Krikretum, state of Pará. The work aims to contribute to the documentation, description and analysis of Mebengokre by means of the study of its lexicon, especially, of the lexical field referring to "Ceremony of the Bep". Bẽp is one of the most expressive ceremonial of the Mẽbêngôkre culture. It is the space where the “nominação” ritual takes place (to give name to childrens). The research that privileged the study of the lexical field referring to the "Bẽp Ceremony", proposes to organize it in the form of a bilingual dictionary prototype Mebêngôkre – Português, which, in addition, to developing knowledge about the language, also allows a better understanding of Mẽbengôkre culture and tradition. The work also falls within the scope of the Mẽbêngôkre Indigenous School Education, it can either provide subsidies for the production of didactic-pedagogical materials for Mebêngôkre schools, or be a reference for teachers and students of the Indigenous Intercultural Course of the State University of Pará - UEPA, São Felix do Xingu Polo.
