Avaliação do atual status de desenvolvimento da indústria eólica offshore no Brasil

Abstract

The present work describes the current development of the offshore wind industry in Brazil, detailing important phases such as the production chain, port infrastructure and naval support, contributing therefore with the information framework. This was done by detailing the onshore wind production chain and the status of the main ports in Brazil, considering the location from current offshore wind projects, as well as assessing the current vessel fleet in Brazil. Lastly, a descriptive analysis of the development process from the leading countries in the offshore wind sector was made, summarizing the main barriers and lessons for the industry in Brazil. It is evident that the country has the necessary technical characteristics for an offshore wind industry, but it is necessary for the Federal Government to take an active role in this development, consolidating the offshore wind potential, determining the maritime areas for the installation of offshore wind farms and simplifying the regulatory process.
