| Abstract: | A ideia de paisagem passou por diferentes abordagens ao longo do tempo. É um conceito em constante evolução, revelando distintas maneiras de enxergar o mesmo tema. Uma das formas de abordar a paisagem é a partir da perspectiva da experiência. Nessa perspectiva, a paisagem não pode ser reconhecida apenas como o cenário material da experiência humana. A paisagem também está impregnada de valores e significados que derivam tanto de suas características físicas e construídas particulares quanto dos valores e significados atribuídos por aqueles que a vivenciam; seus valores e significados estão sujeitos a diferentes apropriações e interpretações. A paisagem pode ser vivenciada de diversas maneiras, desde estar na própria paisagem ou através da mediação de filmes, imagens, livros, esboços, conversas, mapeamentos, entre muitas outras, e mais recentemente através do espaço digital. De fato, o espaço digital aumentou drasticamente nossas oportunidades de experiência da paisagem, abrindo um campo interdisciplinar de pesquisa da paisagem. |
| Abstract: | The idea of landscape has been through different approaches along time. It is an evolving concept, revealing distinct ways of seeing the same subject. One of the ways of approaching landscape is from the perspective of experience. From this perspective, landscape cannot be acknowledged as only the material setting for human experience. Landscape is also embedded with values and meanings that stem both from its particular physical and built characteristics as well as from values and meanings ascribed by those who experience it; its values and meanings are subject to different appropriations and interpretations. Landscape can be experienced in a variety of ways, ranging from being in the landscape itself or through the mediation of films, pictures, books, sketches, conversations, mappings, among many others, and more recently through digital space. In fact, digital space has dramatically increased our opportunities of landscape experience, opening up an interdisciplinary field of landscape research. |
