Análise do processo de melhoria contínua no armazém do campo Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

The Armazém do Campo is an organization linked to the Landless Rural Workers' Movement (MST), with a unique collaborative structure that goes beyond the commercialization of agricultural products, engaging in the advocacy of social rights. The research was conducted at Armazém do Campo Rio de Janeiro during a period of organizational restructuring due to the management impacts during the pandemic. Understanding its functioning and identifying improvement practices contribute to the development of similar structures in analogous situations requiring improvement processes. The employed methodology was action research, carried out through the project "Advisory to the Production and Commercialization Collectives of Agrarian Reform Settlements in the State of Rio de Janeiro," involving interviews, accounts, and collaborative actions with "Armazém" collaborators. A comparative analysis among fieldwork, the Management Manual of the Armazém do Campo Network, and the theoretical framework on continuous improvement processes revealed that the principles outlined in the manual, are implemented in Armazém do Campo Rio de Janeiro. However, a gap in the practical execution of these principles was identified, leading to the exploration of theories, methods, and tools of continuous improvement to complement the guidance. Nevertheless, none of the theoretical foundations were fully applied, necessitating specific adaptations to the organizational reality. This unique approach delineated a singular methodology for the improvement experience carried out at Armazém do Campo Rio de Janeiro, potentially serving as an example for similar organizations seeking enhancements.
