Pornografia feminista: limites, diferenciações e aproximações

Abstract

This research investigates feminist pornography and its relationship with mainstream pornography, with a particular focus on the distinctions the former establishes in relation to the latter. In this regard, we seek to understand how viewers of so-called feminist pornography perceive this material and its potential influence on their sexual practices. Using a qualitative methodology that combines individual and group (focus group) semi-structured interviews, the data are analyzed through thematic content analysis. The study explores the notion of the "male gaze" attributed to mainstream pornography, in contrast to feminist pornography, which is often associated with a "more real" and authentic production, aligned with a differentiation from the normative standards of the pornographic industry. Within this framework, we examine how viewers identify with the representations of feminist pornography and how this engagement impacts their sexual experiences, considering authenticity as a central factor in the influences they recognize in their understanding of sexuality.
