Eticas ordinarias: relaciones de vecindad, tensiones morales y horizontes de violencia en el Valle del Risaralda

Abstract

This thesis addresses ordinary ethics and, in this context, the construction of moral values in the daily life of a community in the Risaralda Valley, Colombia. Based on the ethnographic description and analysis of everyday situations in the village of El Mañana, municipality of Viterbo, related to land ownership, work, use and disputes over the control of traffic on public roads, relationships with the natural environment, forms of agricultural and livestock production, and the construction of killable subjects, it reveals moral tensions that emerge in daily life, especially manifest in neighborhood relations. In these tensions, the presence, whether spectral or material of violence, becomes evident, which in one way or another emerges and affects the construction of moral values and social relations of the inhabitants.
