| Abstract: | O artigo argumenta que, quanto mais instável se tornar a geopolítica do petróleo, mais racional é o investimento em fontes renováveis domésticas. Por isso, embora a Guerra no Golfo Pérsico tenha elevado o preço do petróleo, a instabilidade e escassez induz aos importadores de petróleo acelerar a demanda por energias renováveis e buscar reduzir sua dependência de combustíveis fósseis. Portanto, a transição energética tornou-se uma questão de segurança nacional, estabilidade macroeconômica e soberania. |
| Abstract: | The article argues that the more unstable the geopolitics of oil become, the more rational it is to invest in domestic renewable energy sources. Therefore, although the Gulf War drove up oil prices, instability and scarcity are prompting oil importers to accelerate their demand for renewable energy and seek to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels. Consequently, the energy transition has become a matter of national security, macroeconomic stability, and sovereignty. |
