| Abstract: | Este texto descreve a análise estrutural de um vagão gôndola em alumínio utilizando-se de modernos recursos computacionais. Este vagão destina-se ao transporte de minério de ferro e utiliza ligas de alumínio capazes de proporcionar menor peso em sua estrutura comparativamente a um vagão similar em aço. Encontra-se neste trabalho uma descrição geral dos tipos de vagões de carga, os critérios usados na modelação tridimensional do vagão gôndola, as considerações sobre as cargas aplicadas nos elementos durante a análise estrutural e a verificação dos níveis de tensões nas seções transversais de cada perfil. |
| Abstract: | This text describes the design of a gondola car in aluminum using modern computer technics. This wagon aims to the transportation of ore and uses aluminum alloys capable to obtain less weight in its structure comparatively to a similar wagon in steel. There are in this work a general description of freight car types, the criterion used in the three-dimensional modelling for the gondola car, the considerations about the applied loads on the element during the structural analyses, and the checking of tension levels over the cross-section of each member. |
