dc.description.abstract	This dissertation addresses contemporary art through the painting of Siron Franco and proposes an aesthetic reading of his work, emphasizing the most important phases of his artistic career and demonstrating the transformations of his work. The selected paintings comprehend his career, from the beginning, in the seventies, up to his latest works, reflecting his vast trajectory and allowing a vision of his painting as a whole. From the work and the documentation existent on the author, we tried to identify his ceative process, his chief iconographic elements and his correlations with the brazilian artistic and cultural scene.	en

dc.description.resumo	Aborda a arte contemporânea através da pintura de Siron Franco e propõe uma leitura estética de sua obra, enfatizando as principais fases de sua carreira artística e demonstrando a transformação de seu trabalho. As obras selecionadas abrangem desde pinturas presentes no lançamento artístico de Siron, nos anos 70, até trabalhos mais recentes, refletindo sua vasta trajetória e permitindo-nos uma visão conjunta de sua pintura. A partir da obra e da documentação existente sobre o artista, procuramos identificar seu processo de criação, seus principais elementos iconográficos e suas correlações com o cenário artístico e cultural brasileiro.	pt_BR
