| Abstract: | A cidade exige contínua leitura, análise e intervenção em várias escalas, que tem sempre como perspectivas imagens, funções e partes articuladas e interdependentes em maior ou menor grau. A paisagem urbana não deve ser simplesmente resultado de ocupações e usos, naturais ou não, mas sim ter sua importância reconhecida e considerada em todo processo de planejamento urbano e ambiental. Cada tipo de intervenção na cidade resulta num impacto manifestado de forma diversa no espaço e tempo, muitas vezes executados sem qualquer preocupação com a identidade e história local, tradição cultural ou participação popular. |
| Abstract: | The city requires continuous reading, analysis and intervention at various scales, which always have perspectives, functions and parts articulated and interdependent to a greater or lesser degree. The urban landscape should not simply be the result of occupations and uses, natural or not, but should have its importance recognized and considered in all urban and environmental planning processes. Each type of intervention in the city results in a manifested impact in space and time, often performed without any concern for local identity and history, cultural tradition, or popular participation. |
