dc.description.abstract	In the course of contemporary history, the favela space has been changing and restructuring its role in the scope of economic and social dynamics encouraging the growth of the occupation of previously uninhabited and / or peripheral areas. In the city of Rio de Janeiro, its formation takes place from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, with socioeconomic works and changes, with migration as its main growth factor. This work focuses on the dynamics present in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, having as bridges for such research the work, collective equipment and the housing / population issue.	pt_BR

dc.description.resumo	No decorrer da história contemporânea, o espaço favela vem se modificando e reestruturando o seu papel no âmbito da dinâmica econômica e social incentivando o crescimento da ocupação de áreas antes não habitadas e/ou periféricas. Na cidade do Rio de Janeiro sua formação acontece a partir do fim do século XIX e início do XX, com obras e modificações sócio-econômicas, tendo na migração seu principal fator de crescimento. Este trabalho enfoca a dinâmica presente nas favelas cariocas, tendo como pontes de ligação para tal investigação o trabalho, os equipamentos coletivos e a questão da habitacional/população.	pt_BR
