| Abstract: | O estudo analisa a evolução do loteamento Vale Feliz localizado no município de Teresópolis (região serrana do Rio de Janeiro) desde a sua origem no início da década de 1960 até os dias atuais com o intuito de buscar os fatores responsáveis pelo processo de fechamento das vias públicas, de contratação de seguranças particulares e da construção do mito do condomínio. Busca compreender se os problemas atuais existentes no Vale Feliz e a confusão sobre o que é o Vale Feliz (loteamento, condomínio, bairro ou comunidade) estão de alguma forma associados às práticas adotadas pela Associação de Moradores e Amigos do Vale Feliz - AMAFE. Também procura demonstrar, através do estudo de caso, a importância da análise geográfica para a compreensão das dinâmicas sociais. |
| Abstract: | The study analyzes the evolution of the Vale Feliz settlement located in the municipality of Teresópolis (mountain region of Rio de Janeiro) from its origin in the early 1960s to the present day in order to find the factors responsible for the closure process private contractors and the construction of the condominium myth. It seeks to understand if the current problems in the Vale Feliz and the confusion about what is the Happy Valley (allotment, condominium, neighborhood or community) are in some way associated with the practices adopted by the Association of Residents and Friends of Vale Feliz - AMAFE. It also seeks to demonstrate, through the case study, the importance of geographic analysis for the understanding of social dynamics. |
