dc.description.abstract | The determinants and determinants of the production / reproduction of the city could be identified through the interaction of three major spheres: economic, spatial and symbolic. The changes in the global economy throughout the history of capitalism show that the city is produced from the needs of the world system of production and circulation of goods, which are always renewed. They also show that this is not a peaceful production, but a conflict between the social agents that animates this production. Moreover, it shows that the state plays a fundamental role in the capitalist production of space; thus, the understanding of what this urban is must unveil the intriguing relations existing between the State and the Urban. | en |

| pt_BR |
