dc.description.abstract	The work intends to present a revolt that took place in Rio de Janeiro in the 17th century, in order to give greater prominence to this uprising in the history of Brazil: Revolta da Cachaça. The importance of this uprising lies in having been one of the first to happen in Rio de Janeiro, being a popular movement that overthrew the government and seized power for 05 months. It is necessary to recognize that the historical sources and the diverse historians who wrote on the subject diverge on the beginning, the means and the end of the movement. Central characters of the revolt have different performances and endings, varying from one version to another. In this way, the main objective was to find as many documents as possible that could clarify and order the historical facts.	en

dc.description.resumo	O trabalho pretende apresentar uma revolta acontecida no Rio de Janeiro, no século XVII, para desta forma dar maior destaque a esse levante na história do brasil: a Revolta da Cachaça. A importância desse levante reside em ter sido um dos primeiros a acontecer no Rio de Janeiro, por ser um movimento popular que derrubou o governo e tomado o poder por 05 meses. É preciso reconhecer que as fontes históricas e os diversos historiadores que escreveram sobre o tema divergem sobre o começo, o meio e o fim do movimento. Personagens centrais da revolta possuem desempenhos e finais diferentes, variando de uma versão para outra. Deste modo, o principal objetivo foi encontrar o maior número possível de documentos que pudessem clarear e ordenar os fatos históricos.	pt_BR
