| Abstract: | O objetivo deste trabalho é contribuir para uma proposta de representação sintática do aspecto perfect, ou seja, propor uma configuração estrutural para esse aspecto na árvore sintática. Para tanto, desenvolvemos uma análise comparativa de características morfossintáticas relativas à expressão dos tipos de perfect universal e existencial no português e no italiano. Observamos, nas duas línguas investigadas, uma classe de advérbios distinta para cada tipo de perfect, bem como formas verbais distintas na expressão dos dois tipos. A análise dessas características morfossintáticas nos leva a propor uma projeção para cada tipo de perfect na representação sintática da sentença, diferentemente da proposta de que haveria uma única projeção na representação sintática relativa aos dois tipos de perfect verificada em Alexiadou, Rathert & Von Stechow (2003). Além disso, propomos que o valor aspectual de continuidade e o valor aspectual de resultatividade estejam associados às projeções de universal e de existencial, respectivamente. Refutamos, portanto, a hipótese de que há uma representação sintática comum para os dois tipos de perfect. |
| Abstract: | The aim of this article is to contribute to a representational proposal of the perfect, that is, to propose a structural configuration for this aspect in the syntactic tree. In order to do so, we developed a comparative analysis of morphosyntactic characteristics related to the expression of universal and existential perfect in Portuguese and Italian. It was observed, in both investigated languages, the use of a distinct adverbial class and the use of different verbal forms in the expression of each type of perfect. The analysis of those morphosyntactic characteristics led us to propose one projection for each type of perfect in the syntactic representation of the sentence, unlike the proposal that there is a single projection in the syntactic representation related to both types of perfect verified in Alexiadou, Rathert & Von Stechow (2003). Besides, it was proposed that the aspectual values of continuity and resultativity are associated with the universal and existential projections, respectively. Hence, the hypothesis that there is a common representation to both types of perfect was refuted. |
