Ampliação do acesso à assistência técnica em Juiz de Fora como instrumento de atenuação do risco de morar

Abstract

The practice of preparing the land and building a house without the assistance of engineers and architects, adopted in the city of Juiz de Fora by family groups of different social extracts, combined with the difficulties that the relief imposes on the occupation, generates a large number of occurrences involving situations of risk and low quality in the living spaces. The City Statute, in force since 2001, has provided free technical and legal assistance to disadvantaged communities and social groups as one of the instruments to ensure the distribution of the benefits arising from the urbanization process. This study aims to analyze the factors that make it difficult to approach those professionals with city dwellers, especially those in the middle and lower income brackets.
