A divulgação científica no horizonte do (im)provável

Abstract

As we turn our gaze to the scene of science communication, we realize that many of its global trends reproduce the emphasis placed on the alliance between science and technology, subtracting the restlessness and awe of the world experience to give way to practical effects or results of technological applications. In contemporary Western societies, it is not uncommon to relate to techno-scientific discourses scattered throughout various instances of everyday life. The very idea of science, as well as the image of the scientist, are linked to a set of practices restricted to specific types of readings of the real, paving the way for the naturalization of its illusory separation from the sphere of culture. Taking into account philosophical and Human Sciences approaches, we will analyze and propose a cartography of the (im)possible ways and practices for science communication.
