| Abstract: | Este trabalho tem por objetivo a análise em coordenadas cilíndricas de placas delgadas com cantos reentrantes, sujeitas a cargas transversais, com a aplicação de diferenças finitas através do Método da Energia Discretizada. Tal método utiliza o princípio variacional da energia potencial total, mediante a introdução dos operadores de diferenças finitas na própria expressão do funcional de energia. Além disso, são introduzidos graus de liberdade adicionais aos nós situados no contorno, de forma a eliminar a necessidade de consideração dos nós fictícios, característicos da formulação convencional de diferenças finitas. A existência de cantos reentrantes exigiu a implementação de quatro novos elementos, adequados à análise deste tipo de problema. São apresentados resultados obtidos com o programa elaborado, com base na formulação descrita, para placas com diversas condições de contorno. Tais resultados são comparados com os obtidos através do Método dos Elementos Finitos, de modo a verificar a eficiência da formulação. |
| Abstract: | The aim of this work is the bending analysis, in cylindrical coordinates, of thin plates with reentrant corners under transverse loading, by the Discrete Energy Method. Such method employs the variational principle of total potential energy, by introduction of finite difference operators in the energy functional. Furthermore, additional degrees of freedom are included to the boundary nodes, in order to eliminate the fictious nodes present in the conventional finite difference analysis. The reentrant corners required the adequate implementation of four new elements for this type of analysis. The present formulation is applied to plates with several boundary conditions and the results obtained with the computer program developed are compared with those given by the Finite Element Method, in order to verify the efficiency of the formulation. |
