Da dispersão à reconstituição do contexto arquivístico: arquivo do educador Rubim Santos Leão de Aquino

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the phenomenon of dispersion in personal archives, based on the reflection of how the process of institutionalization of these archives in institutions of memories take place, as part of the Brazilian cultural heritage. In order to understand the dispersion, we took as an object of study, the archive of Rubim Santos Leão de Aquino (1929- 2013), a history teacher of Basic Education in Rio de Janeiro, whose collection was fragmented into portions and destined for various entities. One of the parts was deposited in the Program of Studies, Documents Education and Society – Proedes, of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, with the premise of reconstituting its archival context, with the perspective of reestablishing the links that maintain the integrity of this documentary set. To achieve this purpose, we take as an object of analysis the biography of the holder and the custodial history of his collection, with the results: the cartography of dispersion, the arrangement table of the Rubim Santos Leãos de Aquino archive and a guide to the collection that will be available on the UFRJ access platform.
