| Abstract: | Esta cartilha educativa tem o intuito de esclarecer questões sobre os cuidados que devem ser tomados pelo cirurgião-dentista durante o atendimento odontológico do paciente portador de artrite reumatoide. Com base no conhecimento aprendido, espera-se que o cirurgião-dentista possa proporcionar o manejo correto desse paciente. Apesar de não ser o responsável pelo diagnóstico da artrite reumatoide, o cirurgião-dentista também é capaz de identificar precocemente algumas características da doença, auxiliando no diagnóstico, quando ainda não realizado, e referenciar o paciente corretamente. |
| Abstract: | This educational booklet aims to clarify questions about the care that should be taken by the dentist during dental care for patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Based on the knowledge learned, it is expected that the dentist can provide the correct management of this patient. Despite not being responsible for diagnosing rheumatoid arthritis, the dentist is also able to identify some characteristics of the disease early, helping with the diagnosis, when it has not yet been made, and referring the patient correctly. |
