| Abstract: | As medições da aprendizagem dos estudantes desempenham um papel essencial na determinação da qualidade do ensino superior no Brasil e no mundo, o que evidência a relevância de se avaliar a validade do Indicador de Diferença de Desempenho (IDD) proposto pelo INEP, e utilizado para medir o valor agregado à aprendizagem no Brasil. Verificou-se a adequação do IDD quanto a medição do valor educacional agregado pelos cursos aos seus alunos, e foi constatado que o IDD subestima as medidas de valor agregado para alunos com uma maior estimativa de desempenho no ENADE, impactando diretamente no valor agregado obtido por aquelas instituições que costumam admitir alunos com maiores notas de corte no ENEM. Detectada a inconsistência, foi proposto um novo indicador endereçando as limitações metodológicas, com o intuito de se obter resultados mais justos. |
| Abstract: | Measurements of students’ learning play an essential role in determining the quality of higher education in Brazil and in the world, which highlights the relevance of evaluating the validity of the Performance Difference Indicator (IDD) proposed by INEP, and used to measure the added value of learning in Brazil. The adequacy of the IDD was verified in terms of the educational value added by the courses to its students, and it was found that the IDD underestimates the value-added measures for students with a higher estimate of performance at ENADE, directly impacting the added value obtained by those institutions that usually admit students with higher cut marks in ENEM. Detected the inconsistency, a new indicator was proposed addressing the methodological issues, in order to obtain fairer results. |
