| Abstract: | O presente trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar e discutir aspectos da ecologia da ictiofauna da Baia da Ilha Grande, costa sul do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Foram realizadas coletas experimentais e observações de campo, que permitiram a análise da distribuição dos peixes. Paralelamente, o estudo dos registros de estatística da pesca em 1988, produzidos pela Prefeitura de Angra dos Reis, mostrou variações na abundância relativa dos principais tipos comerciais de peixes naquele ano. Estão registradas 134 espécies que compõem quatro comunidades, de acordo com os principais biótopos encontrados na região. Foram observadas evidências de movimentos sazonais de peixes pleuronectiformes dentro da baía, que parecem ocupar preferencialmente as áreas mais internas no período de primavera-verão, e as externas no inverno. Os outros grupos de peixes penetram na baía em diversas estações do ano. Foi notada a dominância de algumas espécies, na área estudada. |
| Abstract: | The present work aims to show and discuss some aspects of ecology of the ichthyofauna of the Ilha Grande Bay, south coast of Rio de Janeiro State. Experimental catches and field observations were carried out, providing results used in fish distribution analysis. Aside, the study of the 1988 fisheries statistics records, provided by Angra dos Reis Municipality, have shown relative abundance variations of the main fish commercial kinds. It was recorded 134 fish species, distributed in four communities, according the main biotopes found in the region. It was observed evidences of seasonal movements of pleuronectiform fishes, which seems ocupy mostly the bay inner areas in spring-summer period, and the outer ones during winter. The other fish commercial kinds come in the bay during several year seasons. It was noticed that some species domine the studied area. |
