| Abstract: | Neste trabalho, é feita a analogia da análise estrutural de uma defensa pneumática, utilizada em operações de transferência de carga entre navios, com a análise de modelos analíticos de um cilindro e uma esfera sendo pressionados por superfícies planas e rígidas. Foram desenvolvidos e resolvidos numericamente modelos de membrana compostas por materiais elástico e hiperelástico, com o estudo do tipo de contato sem atrito e com atrito (sem escorregamento). Com os resultados encontrados foi possível verificar que o comportamento estrutural do modelo de membrana elástica de formato cilíndrico é semelhante ao das defensas para baixos valores de deflexão, havendo a necessidade de ajustes na modelagem para convergência dos resultados para valores maiores de deflexão. |
| Abstract: | In this work the structural analysis of a pneumatic fender, used in ship to ship transfer operations, is compared to the analysis done for analytical models of a cylinder and a sphere being pressed by flat and rigid surfaces. Models of membrane composed of elastic and hyperelastic materials were developed and numerically solved, combined with the study of the frictionless and no-slip contact considerations. The results analysis showed that the structural behavior of the cylindrical elastic membrane is similar to the fenders structural response for low deflections values, and the modeling needs to be adjusted for convergence of the results for larger deflections values. |
