Abstract:	Este trabalho apresenta o uso do computador como ferramenta educacional. Inicialmente é feita uma introdução das aplicações de computadores de uma maneira geral, passando a seguir para uma análise do uso dessa nova tecnologia na educação desde o início da décda de 60. Apresenta-se alguns modelos de aplicação e a descrição sucinta de alguns sistemas próprios para o desenvolvimento de software educativos.
Abstract:	This article presents the usage of computers as an educational tool. First, we introduce the computers applications in a general way, followed by an analysis of how this new technology has been used in education since the beggining of the 60's. We also present some models of this application and a description of some systems that can be used in the development of educational software.
