| Abstract: | O evento realizado nos dias 14 e 15 de junho de 2021 teve como propósito trazer discussões sobre as diferentes dimensões do existir das pessoas com albinismo para além da condição genética, perpassando pelo impacto nas relações subjetivas do indivíduo e pela falta de políticas públicas que atendam às demandas específicas desse grupo populacional. Ainda pensando no sentido plural da existência, o evento contribuiu para a visibilidade dos movimentos sociais de/para pessoas com albinismo no Brasil e no cenário internacional, além de ter sido uma oportunidade para a atualização do conhecimento sobre a produção acadêmica em relação à temática. As palestras e os trabalhos apresentados durante o Simpósio estão disponíveis na íntegra no canal do YouTube do Projeto – Albinismo Extensão UFRJ. |
| Abstract: | The event held on June 14 and 15, 2021 aimed to bring discussions about the different dimensions of the existence of people with albinism beyond the genetic condition, permeating the impact on the individual's subjective relationships and the lack of public policies that meet the specific demands of this group populational. Still thinking about the plural meaning of existence, the event contributed to the visibility of social movements of/for people with albinism in Brazil and on the international scene, in addition to being an opportunity to update knowledge about academic production in relation to the subject.
