| Abstract: | Este trabalho tem como proposta revisar conceitos relacionados a identidade e língua. O objetivo é discutir alguns aspectos da relação entre surdos e ouvintes brasileiros como por exemplo as múltiplas visões identitárias relacionadas ao status de surdez e conceitos relacionados a noção de falante nativo/ não nativo e seus papéis na comunidade surda. É crucial discutir mais profundamente essas relações. São analisadas aqui as relações de poder implícitas no contato entre esses grupos, buscando contrabalancear seus pontos de vista no intuito de apresentar alguns pontos de tensão e possíveis equívocos existentes no contato desses grupos. |
| Abstract: | This paper aims at reviewing concepts related to identity and language. Our aim is to discuss some aspects concerning the relationship between deaf and non-deaf people in Brazil, such as multiple perspectives on self-identification related to the status of deafness and the notion of native / non- native speakers and their roles in the deaf community. It is crucial to further discuss these relations. We analyzed the implicit power relations within these groups, seeking to counterbalance their points of view in order to present some difficult issues and possible misconceptions that emerge from the contact between these groups. |
