| Abstract: | O objetivo neste e-book é fornecer informações sobre as aplicações da Inteligência Artificial (IA) no diagnóstico por meio de exames de imagem em Odontologia, bem como apresentar ferramentas disponíveis para alunos de graduação e cirurgiões-dentistas. Esse e-book fornece informações baseadas nas evidências científicas existentes e discute o desempenho e a confiabilidade dessa ferramenta na prática clínica odontológica. Além disso, foram disponibilizados os links de acesso a softwares gratuitos e aos tutoriais de como eles são utilizados. Concluiu-se que a maioria dos estudos apresentam resultados promissores, mas que requerem a supervisão final de um profissional. Estudos futuros são necessários para explorar aplicações específicas, tornando as ferramentas de IA confiáveis para integrar a prática clínica da radiologia oral, proporcionando eficiência e assertividade no diagnóstico, dispensando a necessidade de inspeção da tarefa por um profissional. |
| Abstract: | The objective of this e-book is to provide information about the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in diagnosis through imaging exams in Dentistry, as well as presenting tools available to undergraduate students and dental surgeons. This e-book provides information based on existing scientific evidence and discusses the performance and reliability of this tool in clinical dental practice. In addition, links to access free software and tutorials on how they are used were made available. It was concluded that most studies present promising results but require final supervision by a professional. Future studies are needed to explore specific applications, making AI tools reliable to integrate the clinical practice of oral radiology, providing efficiency and assertiveness in diagnosis, eliminating the need for inspection of the task by a professional. |
