| Abstract: | Desenvolver soluções de mitigação climática no setor de transporte, em especial aqueles terrestres, é estratégico ao município de Porto Alegre, visto que este é o que mais emite na capital do Rio Grande do Sul. Tendo em vista as possibilidades de atuação do poder público municipal frente a tal problemática, este projeto buscou respostas sobre possibilidades de investimento para eletrificação da frota de ônibus do transporte público do município, uma solução de grande relevância, visto que somam cerca de 10% das emissões de transportes terrestres. Além disso, considerando a emissão de poluentes originados de ônibus a diesel, os quais em quantidades acima do recomendado pela OMS podem impactar a saúde da população exposta, tanto para casos de morbidade quanto para mortalidade, a transição energética se apresenta como uma oportunidade positiva. |
| Abstract: | Developing climate mitigation solutions in the transportation sector, especially land transportation, is strategic for the municipality of Porto Alegre, as this is the sector that emits the most in the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. Given the possibilities for municipal government action on this issue, this project sought answers on investment possibilities for the electrification of the municipality's public transport bus fleet, a solution of great relevance, given that it accounts for about 10% of land transport emissions. Furthermore, considering the emission of pollutants from diesel buses, which in quantities above those recommended by the WHO can impact the health of the exposed population, both in terms of morbidity and mortality, the energy transition presents itself as a positive opportunity. |
