| Abstract: | Trata do estudo de caso único da área “Letras/Linguística”. O objetivo geral da pesquisa é analisar as práticas de depósito legal nos acervos de teses e dissertações nas universidades brasileiras, a fim de identificar ações de controle bibliográfico das coleções das teses e dissertações das universidades brasileiras e identificar subsídios que evidenciem a necessidade de elaboração de uma política nacional de depósito de teses e dissertações considerando tanto o acervo impresso como o digital. Apresenta o histórico da institucionalização da universidade no Brasil e a criação dos cursos de pós-graduação, para contextualizar o ambiente em que a produção acadêmica ocorre. Aborda as iniciativas de controle bibliográfico da produção acadêmica desde a institucionalização dos cursos de pós-graduação no Brasil. Foi realizada pesquisa documental, apresentando e analisando a legislação brasileira que aborda a divulgação, acesso, preservação e salvaguarda das teses e dissertações. Os Programas de Pós-Graduação da área de Letras/Linguística no país e as respectivas bibliotecas universitárias também foram objeto de análise e foram levantadas as práticas de depósito legal por meio de questionários. |
| Abstract: | This is a single case study of Letters/Linguistic area. The objective of the research is to analyze the practices of legal deposit in the collections of thesis and dissertation in Brazilian universities, to identify the bibliographic control actions in thesis and dissertations collections in Brazilian universities and to identify subsidies that highlight the need for developing a national policy on deposit theses and dissertations considering both the printed and digital library, considering both the printed and digital collections. Presents the history of the institutionalization of the university in Brazil and the creation of graduate courses, to contextualize the academic environment in which production takes place. Approaches the initiatives of bibliographic control of academic production, developed from the institutionalization of graduate courses. Documentary research was carried out, presenting and analyzing the Brazilian legislation that addresses the disclosure, access, preservation and safeguarding of theses and dissertations. Graduate Programs of the area of Letter/Linguistics in the country and their university libraries were also analyzed and were raised legal deposit practices through questionnaires. |
