dc.description.abstract	The aim of this work consists in the analysis political and socio-economic one of the largest public road construction in the state of Rio de Janeiro: the Metropolitan Ring Road from Rio de Janeiro (AMRJ). To this end, this monograph is structured into three main topics: the first one refers to the current sociospatial condition of the areas that are directly and indirectly impacted by this construction and points the possible future exacerbations. The second one brings the political-institutional situation doing a comparative analysis of the Master Plan of AMRJ with the Master Plans of municipalities intercepted by this Ring Road. Finally, the third and last topic covers issues including health and environmental impacts of the AMRJ and its aftermath. This research focuses on the region of direct influence of the "C-segment" of AMRJ, since this is the section where this road will be built from scratch, while the intervention in other segments will only be improvements and enlargements of existing highways.	en

dc.description.resumo	O presente trabalho consiste na análise político-econômica e socioespacial de uma das maiores obras públicas viárias realizadas no estado fluminense: o Arco Metropolitano do Rio de Janeiro (AMRJ). Para isto, esta monografia está estruturada em três grandes tópicos: O primeiro se refere à atual condição socioespacial das áreas que serão impactadas direta e indiretamente pela obra e aponta uma série de possíveis agravamentos futuros. O segundo traz a situação político-institucional fazendo uma análise comparativa do Plano Diretor do AMRJ com os Planos Diretores dos municípios interceptados pelo Arco. Por fim, o terceiro e último tópico abarca questões sanitárias e ambientais incluindo os impactos do Arco e seus desdobramentos. Esta pesquisa se detém mais a região de influencia direta do “segmento C” do AMRJ, uma vez que este é o trecho onde o Arco será construído do zero, enquanto os demais trechos tratam de melhorias e alargamentos em rodovias já existentes.	pt_BR
