| Abstract: | Este trabalho tem o objetivo de trazer algumas reflexões para o Movimento dos Atingidos por Barragens- MAB, de forma que possa melhorar sua atuação especialmente no estado do Pará. O primeiro capítulo traz algumas reflexões sobre a ocupação da Amazônia brasileira na sua trajetória histórica e como, atualmente, tem se realizado a investida do capital na forma de grandes projetos, sobretudo as hidrelétricas. Procura-se atentar às questões sociais e ambientais, a partir dos impactos desse modelo de desenvolvimento implementado na região. No segundo capítulo, o trabalho trata dos projetos hidrelétricos no estado do Pará, caracterizando os interesses das obras já construídas e em pleno funcionamento, dentro da ótica de concepção de desenvolvimento da região Amazônica, seu papel e suas perspectivas futuras. No terceiro capítulo, traz com mais ênfase a caracterização do projeto de Belo Monte, além dos verdadeiros interesses e interessados nessa obra. Projeto que está em fase de aprovação para ser leiloada e que é palco de intensas batalhas, de ordem judicial e políticos. |
| Abstract: | This work aims to bring some reflections to the Movement of the Affected MAB, so that it can improve its performance especially in the state of Pará. The first chapter brings some reflections on the occupation of the Brazilian Amazon in its historical trajectory and how, at present, capital has been invested in the form of large projects, especially hydroelectric power plants. It seeks to address social and environmental issues, from the impacts of this development model implemented in the region. In the second chapter, the work deals with hydroelectric projects in the state of Pará, characterizing the interests of the works already built and in full operation, within the development of the Amazon region, its role and its future prospects. In the third chapter, it brings more emphasis to the characterization of the Belo Monte project, besides of the true interests and interested in this work. Project that is in the approval phase to be auctioned and that is the scene of intense battles, of judicial order and politicians. |
