Abstract:	O trabalho apresenta um estudo sobre o problema habitacional dos moradores de baixa renda. Para tanto, analisa as dificuldades enfrentadas por esta parcela da população na luta pelo direito de obter uma moradia digna; relata a atuação do poder público, analisa as suas consequências na vida do trabalhador e enfoca o tema da regularização fundiária, apontando-o como uma das alternativas de solução do enfrentamento do déficit habitacional.
Abstract:	This study presents a study on the housing problem of low income residents. To do so, it analyzes the difficulties faced by this part of the population in the struggle for the right to obtain decent housing; reports on the performance of the public power, analyzes its consequences in the life of the worker and focuses on the land regularization, pointing it as one of the alternatives to solve the housing deficit.
