Clonagem urbana: uma reflexão sobre os processos urbanos no século XXI

Abstract

The work approaches, from a historical analysis, the different ways of thinking and looking at the city, from classical Greece to the city in the 21st century. This retrospective comes as a way of showing the development of the true city essence and how it came to be modified, and according to which aspects, to reach the present proportions, resulting in urban spaces and the order that is now established. This is the main point of this work, to show how is the contemporary city and its subjective aspects that determine the structuring of its urban environments. Through the exposition of some urban projects, the hypothesis is that we would be close to the observation that we live in true "non-cities" or, what is called here, urban cloning.
