| Abstract: | O trabalho busca observar a importância do samba e da música popular como ferramenta de representação da cidade. Isto é, verificar se o conjunto compositor popular e sua obra são tão importantes para a construção/manutenção das imagens de memória afetiva da cidade, quanto as crônicas de um escritor,as análises de um antropólogo ou as pesquisas de um historiador. Como caminho de verificação busca-se investigar as origens daquilo que determinou, à época, o que era tido como cultura popular e o que era valorizado como cultura oficial. |
| Abstract: | The work seeks to observe the importance of samba and popular music as a tool for representing the city. That is, to verify whether the popular composer and his work are as important for the construction / maintenance of the images of affective memory of the city as the chronicles of a writer, the analyzes of an anthropologist or the researches of a historian. As a way of verification, one seeks to investigate the origins of what determined, at the time, what was considered popular culture and what was valued as an official culture. |
