| Abstract: | Esta dissertação enfoca dois temas básicos e suas possíveis relações: a Modernidade e a pintura brasileira. Partindo de um enfoque social sobre o desenvolvimento da Modernidade, foi utilizada uma abordagem que permitisse determinar a formação dos seus paradigmas. Nesse processo, procurou-se estabelecer pontos de contato entre o início do capitalismo e as suas formas mais recentes, para delimitar algumas estruturas persistentes do seu discurso. Buscando possíveis relações entre os temas, delimitaram-se manifestações estéticas na pintura brasileira que pudessem dar tradução às transformações que marcaram o desenvolvimento de uma cultura de massa urbana inserida numa economia de mercado. Nesse processo, destaca-se a realização do evento "Como vai você, geração 80?", de modo a se evidenciarem a realização e os desdobramentos dos paradigmas da Modernidade de fins do século XX. |
| Abstract: | This dissertation focus on two basic themes and their possible connections: Modernity and brasilian painting. Based on a social focus about the development of Modernity, a reseach was aplied so that it was possible to determine the consistency of its paradigm. In this process, it was tried to stablish links between the beginning of capitalism and its most recentforms, in order to delineate some persistent structures of its dscourse. Looking for possible connections between the themes, aesthetics manifestations had been delimited on brazilian painting that they could translate the transformations wich marked the development of a culture of urban mass imput in a economy of market. In this process, it was made to stand out "Como vai você, geração 80?", in a way that it became possible to prove the realization and unfolding of the paradigms of the Modernity of the end of the 20th century. |
