| Abstract: | O desmonte ambiental não acontece por acaso no Brasil. Há forte pressão política de grupos interessados em “destravar” o setor produtivo das restrições impostas pelas normas ambientais. Isso tem como base o processo de reprimarização da economia brasileira, cada vez mais dependente da agropecuária e mineração, cuja expansão até agora se caracterizou pelo uso predatório de recursos naturais e pelo conflito com a agenda socioambiental. A exclusão ambiental (pobreza não-monetária) agrava o problema de concentração de renda convencional”, referente à distribuição desigual dos rendimentos e riqueza. O acirramento do desmonte ambiental é uma aposta no atraso, que deixa como legado o afastamento cada vez maior do Brasil em relação a todas as dimensões da sustentabilidade (econômica, social e ambiental). |
| Abstract: | Environmental dismantling does not happen by chance in Brazil. There is strong political pressure from groups interested in "unlocking" the productive sector from the restrictions imposed by environmental norms. This is based on the process of re-primarization of the Brazilian economy, which is increasingly dependent on agriculture, cattle raising, and mining, whose expansion so far has been characterized by the predatory use of natural resources and by the conflict with the socio-environmental agenda. Environmental exclusion (non-monetary poverty) aggravates the problem of conventional income concentration", referring to the unequal distribution of income and wealth. The intensification of environmental dismantling is a bet on backwardness, which leaves as its legacy the increasing distance between Brazil and all dimensions of sustainability (economic, social, and environmental). |
