| Abstract: | O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar um modelo macroeconômico não convencional simplificado que relaciona a demanda efetiva e o uso sustentável dos recursos naturais. Ele supõe uma pequena economia não-desenvolvida baseada nas exportações de um recurso natural e com uma forte concentração de renda. O "crescimento ideal" é entendido como a manutenção da mão de obra em pleno emprego e a sustentabilidade é definida como a manutenção de um nível de estoque de capital não decrescente. O modelo baseia-se em uma equação kaleckiana modificada de determinação de renda (Kalecki, 1991b), em que as exportações de recursos naturais substituem o papel do investimento como despesa autônoma. Portanto, o emprego é uma função direta do esgotamento dos recursos e está negativamente relacionado à sustentabilidade. |
| Abstract: | The aim of this paper is to present a simplified non-conventional macroeconomic model which relates effective demand and the sustainable use of natural resources. It supposes a small non-developed economy based on the exports of a natural resource and with a heavy income concentration. 'Optimal growth' is understood as maintaining labour full-employed and sustainability is defined as maintaining a non-decreasing capital stock level. The model is based on a modified Kaleckian equation of income determination (Kalecki, 1991b) where exports of natural resource substitute for the role of investment as an autonomous expenditure. Therefore, employment is a direct function of resource depletion and is negatively related to sustainability. |
